2024 Annual Meeting

Dear Valley View Estates Property Owners,

Following the 2024 POA annual meeting, we are excited to share updates to kick off the year.

ANNUAL MEETING RECAP: Thanks to everyone who attended the annual meeting on January 25. We posted the meeting agenda, financial statements, and minutes on our website and social media. We will also mail physical copies of these documents. We will be in touch with more detailed financial information soon.

POA OFFICER ELECTIONS: Officers were selected at the POA Board meeting on February 7th. The newly elected officers are:

• President: Melissa Braddy

• Vice President: Diamond Gaudern

• Secretary: Aric Reed

• Treasurer: Garrett Watson

At the annual meeting, property owners asked if officers can be selected separately from the board. The board will investigate this option. See the Feb. 7th board meeting minutes for more details.

2024 PROPERTY OWNER SURVEY: Property owner feedback is necessary to help the board identify top priorities for the year ahead. To that end, we are launching a survey to gather feedback on various aspects of the Valley View community. The survey is available online: bit.ly/valleyviewsurvey2024. We will also physically mail the survey to ensure everyone can participate. Please take part in the survey as your input will directly influence strategic priorities in 2024. Survey results will be summarized and reported back to the community so everyone can know the viewpoints of property owners.

MONTHLY COMMUNITY MEETINGS: The desire for improved communication was common feedback from property owners at the annual meeting. As part of the board’s effort to get more property owner input, we will begin monthly community meetings via Zoom to update owners on board activity and answer questions. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, February 21st at 6:30 p.m. The Zoom information will be posted on our website and Facebook page. These meetings will also be recorded for later viewing. These regular meetings along with committee work will be the primary places the POA board will engage in substantive discussion, rather than on social media.

COMMITTEES AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: A goal of the POA board is to empower committees to work on the community’s priorities. If you would like to join a committee, please indicate your interest in the 2024 Property Owners Survey or reach out to the POA Board directly. We will be in touch soon via email with those who volunteered to coordinate and begin committee work.

MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER: In 2024, we are committed to transparency and investment in the Valley View community. We believe that through collective efforts, we can achieve a vibrant community that all property owners can be proud of. Stay tuned for more information on the survey and other community matters.
